Former Chairperson of Staff Selection Commission Mr. N.K. Raghupathy has posted on his facebook page that 13-07-2014 is most likely to be the exam date for SSC CGL 2013 Re-Exam of Tier-I . He further added that Tier-II of the examination is expected to be held in October/November this year .

He has not said anything about CGL 2014 .

Hon'ble CAT has ordered for the cancellation of SSC CGL 2013 exam and it has also ordered SSC to conduct re-examination for SSC CGL 2013 as soon as possible . But nothing has been said about re-examination of 7 cities that was scheduled to be held on 27th April 2014 . Hence, the re-exam schedule remains unchanged and it will take place as stated earlier .

English Syllabus : Preparation of SSC CGL

English and Mathematics are the two most important sections of SSC CGL examination, covering a total of 250 marks each (Tier I + Tier II = 50 + 200).
In Tier I of examination, English section has 50 questions with each question carrying 1 mark i.e. a total of 50 marks . In Tier II of examination English section has 200 questions with each question carrying 1 mark i.e. a total of 200 marks .

SSC aspirants find it very difficult to get good marks in the vocabulary section of SSC CGL examination . It covers a total of 60-65 marks in Tier I and Tier II of the examination (15+50), which is actually the lion's share .

SSC has declared the result of Combined Higher Secondary Level (SSC 10+2) Exam . A total of 14374 candidates have been declared provisionally qualified for typing test for Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) and 9960 candidates have been declared provisionally qualified for skill test for Data Entry Operator (DEO) .

Due to administrative reasons, the Commission has decided to hold a re-examination only for those candidates who appeared from SM College Block-A, Bhagalpur on 27/10/2013 (Evening Shift) and Boys High School & College Block-C, Allahabad on 10/11/2013 (Evening Shift) .

Three candidates of Lucknow centre bearing ticket numbers as under, are also required to appear for the re-examination :

SSC CGL 2014 Postponed

SSC has postponed the date of SSC CGL 2014 . New date is not out yet but it is expected to be held after the general elections 2014 i.e. june 2014.
The re-exam for SSC CGL 2013 Tier-I will now take place on 27th April 2014 (earlier it was expected to be the date of SSC CGL 2014 Tier-I) .

SSC CGL 2014 Preparation 

SSC CGL is scheduled for April last of this year i.e. there is still more than 75 days left for all those who are working hard for SSC CGL preparation .

This post gives an out and out study plan for SSC CGL :

1) Practise mathematics questions at least 2-3 hours a day ( Advance mathematics is to be practised more) .

2) Reserve an hour for practising english sample questions at least thrice a week .

3) Learn vocabulary section on daily basis ( synonyms , antonyms , idioms , phrases etc )

4) Reasoning is the easiest section of SSC CGL exam so dont leave it for 11th hour and reserve at least 2 sessions of reasoning section per week .

Following the above mentioned study plan will do the trick for you .
