SBI PO Question Paper Pattern

SBI has issued the notification for the recruitment of 1837 Probationary Officers (click here for details), now most of the candidates are searching for the pattern of the question paper , so that they can start their preparation accordingly .
The first thing one must consider before starting the preparation is that SBI PO is not IBPS PO there are
a few differences between them from question paper pattern to salary structure .

Here we are providing the detailed question paper pattern for SBI PO Recruitment Examination 2014 :

The whole recruitment is completed in two phases .

Phase- I :

Phase one consists of an online test of 2 hours and a descriptive test of english language of 1 hour . Every candidate who has successfully filled the online application is eligible for this phase .

i) 2 Hour Online Test - (200 marks)

1) English Language  - 50 questions - 50 marks
2) Logical Reasoning - 50 questions - 50 marks
3) General Awareness - 50 questions - 50 marks
4) Data Analysis and - 50 questions - 50 marks
   Interpretation

* Note -
a) General Awareness section consists of questions from Current Affairs, Banking, Marketing and Fundamental Computer .
b) Data Analysis and Interpretation section is different from Quantitative Aptitude or Numerical Aptitude .
c) There is a provision of negative marking for every wrong answer . Negative marks will be 0.25 marks .

ii) 1 Hour Descriptive Test of English Language - (50 marks)

The descriptive test of English Language may contain questions from Precise Writing, Letter Writing, Essay Writing etc .

Phase- II :

Phase two consists of Group Discussion and Personal Interview . The candidates who are declared qualified in the Phase I of the examination are eligible for this phase .

Phase 2 generally carries 50 marks -

Group Discussion   - 20 marks
Personal Interview - 30 marks
